Katherine Hackett ’07 married Navid Vafaei-Najafabadi on July 22, 2023, at St. Patrick’s Church in Huntington, NY. Many other alumnae celebrated, including Katherine’s mom Maddie (Dore) Hackett ’68, Aunt Barbara (Dore) Russell ’66, beloved Aunt Nancy (Dore) Smith ’63 in spirit, sisters Madelaine Hackett ’98, Tricia (Hackett) Swanson ’04, “Aunt” Pat (Gondek) Godek ’68, and ’07 classmates Samantha (Ceglia) Vafiadou, Diana Keenan, Dee Dee (Reedy) Murphy, Amanda Pugliese, Maggie Ewen. Katherine resides with her husband in Port Jefferson and is pursuing her Master’s in Applied Health Informatics while working full-time at Stony Brook University.
